“The performance of Hercules and Love Affair has confirmed that an appropriate atmosphere is a key element in creating a successful concert, which has rarely been the case in Slovenia.” (Mladina; xx)

Hercules and Love Affair is a musical project from New York formed in 2007 by DJ Andy Butler. From 2007 through 2010, members included Nomi Ruiz, Kim Ann Foxman and guest singer Antony Hegarty from the band Antony and the Johnsons.

Their single “Blind” was released on March 3rd, 2008, and their debut self-titled album (produced by Butler and Tim Goldsworthy) was released on March 10th, 2008. The album has been critically well-received and charted in the top 40 in several countries.

“A deliciously groovesome blend of classic disco, early house and contemporary techno” – The Guardian

“The most-blessed thing you’ll be freaking out to on the dancefloor all next year” – NME

Their concert in Kino Šiška has proved one of the highlights of the concert season in 2010 and has received massive critical acclaim in all the major Slovene media. The support of the national DJ act Sindikat and the party afterwards meant that the central performance had even more of an impact, which was the talk of the town for quite some time.
