STOŽICE HIPPODROME

The Stožice Hippodrome is a central hippodrome stadium in Slovenia. The Hippodrome was built in 1957 and is operated by a horse-riding club in Ljubljana. It can be easily reached by all means of transportation, including public transport.

The view over the track is just the beginning. Behind it is a beautiful panoramic view over Kamnik – the Savinja Alps, covered with snow in the winter. The official length of the race track is 1000m.

This is also a place where really big events are held, such as the mass by Pope John Paul II in 1996. In 2009, the Slovenian people experienced the Killers spectacle.
