On behalf of Mobitel Itak we brought to you musical superstars Editors and The Wombats who have never before performed in Slovenia and again built up a general awareness of indie-rock music, thus strengthening the loyalty of all music enthusiasts. International music giants were accompanied by the regional pre-act Dubioza Kolektiv and national rising stars The Toronto Drug Bust and Danza Macabra.

Editors, a British indie rock band, have so far released two platinum studio albums and three in total, whilst selling several million copies between them worldwide. Their debut album The Back Room was released in 2005. It contained the hits "Munich" and "Blood" and received a Mercury Prize nomination the following year. Their follow-up album An End Has a Start went to number 1 in the UK Album Chart in June 2007 and earned the band a Brit Awards nomination for best British Band. The band's third album, In This Light and on This Evening, was released in October 2009, going straight to number 1 in the UK Album Chart and receiving particular critical acclaim throughout Europe.

The Wombats are an indie rock band formed in Liverpool, England. The band have so far released two albums, “A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation” (2007) and “This Modern Glitch” (2011) and toured a great part of the world. With hits such as »Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)« and »Jump into the fog«, their performance at the Itak festival hyped the audiences and provided an injection of total musical happiness.

With a great company of international music superstars, Itak also had the chance to witness the performances of some regional and national acts. The Bosnian Dubioza Kolektiv, whose music consists of various styles ranging from reggae, dub and rock intermixed with political lyrics and uplifting and melodic tendencies, already has a large fan base in Slovenia. They certainly uplifted the Križanke summer theatre.

The Slovenian Toronto Drug Bust (rock) and Danza Macabra (electronic), who have both performed in Slovenia and abroad, represent unique examples of quality national music production that revived the festival venue and contributed to yet another amazing Itak Džafest show!
