The world-famous ukulele ensemble, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, whose accomplished performances have now been enjoyed for 25 years, gave a concert on 29 May 2011 in Križanke, Ljubljana.

They are particularly famous for their collaboration with bands such as Madness, Kaiser Chiefs and The Ministry of Sound. This concert represents a piece of British culture that swept the Križanke Open Air Theatre off its feet. All fans of great music were cordially invited.

Members of The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain play covers of a number of hit songs, such as Should I Stay or Should I Go by The Clash, Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit, Crazy by Gnarls Barkley and others. Their cover of Dy-Na-Mi-Tee even reached the UK singles charts.

The concert of The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain provided a colourful contribution to the cultural scene of Slovenia's capital. A unique collaboration with the national band Terrafolk, who also won the BBC Radio World Music Audience Award in 2003, has proven to be a winning combination since they managed to keep the audiences completely captivated throughout the whole 3 hour show.
