One of the most outstanding performances which will be long remembered by the participants at the sold-out venue in Ljubljana's city centre.
12 May will be long remembered as the night on which French singer song-writer ZAZ took the stage of the open-air theatre in Ljubljana and blew everyone away.
The crowds gathered long before the concert started and filled up the venue to the fullest. There was an electric feeling of expectation in the hall- it was proclaimed the concert of the month but it turned out to be so much more!
Manouche, the opening act, whose music is somewhere between gipsy, jazz and swing, presented the perfect overture into the following performance of ZAZ.
The lights went out, there was silence in the room with a murmuring whisper going around, you could see an occasional photo flash and a great deal of anticipation! Finally the words Les Passants could be heard and immediately after that enthusiastic screams of the audiences- Isabelle Geffroy was on stage!
Her 2 hour performance only took off from that and travelled from the feeling of streets performances at Monmatre to the romantic La Pluie and of course the song which everyone was waiting for: Je Veux!
The concert will be remembered as the one which was sold-out immediately, as one which featured the most spirited and bubbly performer we haven’t seen in a while and of course as the concert from which everyone, despite the raging storm, went home with a smile on their faces.
